Rafeeq — Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 October 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Rafeeq mobile application ("Rafeeq", "we", "us"), an English-learning app for Arabic speakers, on Android and iOS, and the services connected to it. By using Rafeeq, creating an account, or subscribing to one of its plans, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who we are

Rafeeq is operated under the trade name Rafeeq, from Jordan. For anything concerning these Terms, contact us at support@rafeeqenglish.com or from the "Help & Support" screen inside the app.

2. Your account

3. The service and its content

4. AI-based features

5. Plans and subscriptions

6. The Family plan (Family Plus)

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, to the extent the breach warrants.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its content and the "Rafeeq" name and marks belong to us or to our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and its content for your own personal, non-commercial learning, in accordance with these Terms. What you write and record inside the app remains yours; you grant us a licence to process it to the extent needed to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → "Delete account"; your data is then permanently deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting the account does not cancel an auto-renewing subscription — cancel the subscription in the store first, or it will keep renewing.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date above always shows the current version; for material changes we will notify you inside the app or by email. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, without prejudice to any mandatory protection granted to you by the law of your country of residence. We always try to resolve any dispute amicably through support before any other step.

13. Additional terms for App Store users

If you obtained Rafeeq from the App Store, the following terms, required by Apple, apply in addition to the above:

  1. Acknowledgement. These Terms are concluded between you and Rafeeq only, not with Apple. Rafeeq, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
  2. Scope of licence. The licence granted to you is non-transferable and is limited to use of the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in the App Store Terms of Service, except that the app may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
  3. Maintenance and support. Rafeeq is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services.
  4. Warranty. Rafeeq is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app.
  5. Product claims. Rafeeq, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and/or use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to an applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
  6. Intellectual property rights. In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Rafeeq, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of the claim.
  7. Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  8. Developer name and address. Rafeeq — Jordan — support@rafeeqenglish.com.
  9. Third-party terms of agreement. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app (for example, your wireless data service agreement).
  10. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of them Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
